The Leofoto SA-X series is one of the most compact tripods on the market and offers a perfect balance between weight and stability.
The "X" version features a newly designed tripod platform with a rosette connection for SA-X rifle heads and a 3/8" mounting screw for attaching standard 3/8" heads. The rosette connection provides an extremely stable connection between the tripod platform and the head. The angle stop design has been improved from the standard pull lever to a knurled rod, allowing the user to adjust the angles with just one hand instead of two.

Allows for one-handed angle adjustment. 1/4" accessory socket on the side of the tripod platform for ideal placement of a strap or arm for attaching everything from an umbrella, mobile phone or even an anemometer or rangefinder. Tripods occasionally have to withstand enormous bending and torsional loads. It is crucial that the leg angle stops and all other structural connections are well supported. Leofoto's offset leg connections fully support the leg angle stops and allow loads to be transferred directly through the strongest parts of the tripod. This also means that the tripod is more compact when folded. Large rubber feet prevent the leg side walls from touching the ground even in the lowest settings and ensure positive ground contact at almost any angle.
The Leofoto MH-X Full Dynamic Ballhead with Handle for the SA-X Series is designed for photographers, shooters, hunters and military applications. It features a motorcycle throttle-style knob for quick adjustment and locking of the ball. The handle can be extended in length to facilitate operation with gloves in cold or harsh conditions.
The MH-X Series also features a silver adjustment wheel (friction) on the inside of the handle to control the friction or resistance of the ball. The precision-machined ball ensures silky smooth movement and offers more than 80% exposed ball. The ball head allows a tilt range of +/-55° for dynamic freedom of movement. This head is attached to an SA-X tripod or any standard 3/8" mounting tripod via a rosette connection.

All Leofoto carbon tripod legs are made of 10-layer carbon material. This promises high stability with low weight and, in addition, high corrosion resistance.
Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !
