More about the series Geared Head...
The geared head allows independent and precise adjustment of the tilt and roll movements. This allows the image section to be selected very accurately, as is often required by architectural and product macro photographers.
By releasing the pitch/roll quick-release lever, you can quickly make adjustments in the respective axis, lock them in place and use the large knobs for final fine adjustments.
The G4 Prom expands Leofoto’s range of geared heads with a motorised panorama plate positioned directly beneath the camera. This can be decoupled for rough alignment and thus pre-adjusted.
This allows you to set the camera to take pictures at consistently identical angles without having to rotate the weight of the camera equipment. The gear mechanism takes care of this.
The base of the tripod head is 60 millimetres
Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !
The knobs are made of stainless steel and the gear is made of brass.
